Six surrender after hacking partner to death

Madhusudhan Reddy had differences with his business partners, who were angry with him as they could not recover money towards losses

ANANTAPUR: A 43-year-old trader and rowdy-sheeter Madhusudhan Reddy was hacked to death by his rivals at Erraguntla cross in Dharmavaram town in broad daylight on Friday.

The culprits surrendered soon after the incident. Madhusudhan Reddy of Venkata Thimmapuram village in Dharmavaram mandal had differences with his business partners, who were angry with him as they were unable to recover the losses suffered by them.

After hatching a conspiracy, six persons hacked Reddy with hunting sickles. Locals alerted the police and Dharmavaram town police rushed to the spot and found his body lying in a pool of blood.

Later, the six surrendered before Dharmavaram police, who registered a case based on a complaint by family members of the deceased. The body was sent to Dharmavaram hospital for post-mortem.

Lady doctor attacked: Meanwhile, a lady doctor was injured when she was attacked with a knife over financial issues.

Dr. D Madhavi Latha lodged a complaint with Narasaraopet police against Pagadala Ramesh, who she said had attacked her with a knife.

According to Narasaraopet police, Dr. Latha runs a nursing home in Narasaraopet and Ramesh was working as a PRO in a hospital and also looked after her hospital.

He allegedly committed financial frauds because of which Dr Latha removed him from the job. When he started sending objectionable messages to the doctor-couple, she confronted him. In his fury,

Ramesh attacked her when some people intervened and rescued the lady doctor. Her condition is stable.
