Liverpool and Brentford played out an entertaining first half in their Premier League clash.
Mohamed Salah and Frank Onyeka both had shots cleared off the line in a frenetic opening 10 minutes before Ethan Pinnock opened the scoring for the home side midway through the first half.
The Reds hit back through Diogo Jota's deft header before the Portuguese was denied a second from a great save by David Raya in the Brentford goal moments after Curtis Jones had hit the post.

Key Events
Goodbye and Goodnight
That's all we have time for on today's matchday blog after the Reds were unable to captilise on mistakes of their rivals from earlier on in the afternoon as they drew 3-3 with Brentford.
However, we have plenty of content and analysis from the game for you to digest and enjoy.
Ian Doyle picks apart the Reds' second draw of the season, you can read that here.
Paul Gorst gives his verdict from the Brentford Community Stadium, that can be found here.
And lastly, but by no means least, Ian Doyles' player ratings.
Further reaction from the Reds' boss
Klopp: "Curtis is a top player. A talent but a really good package and he showed that today. He was involved in all football situations, brave between the lines but he's still young. He's in a good moment."
Klopp on Salah's 100th Premier League goal for Liverpool
"Excpetional. Two weeks ago he got 100 in the league now 100 for LFC. We have to give him another shirt with 100 on! His numbers are insane, incredible but I know Mo and he thinks about the two he missed. Of course, an outstanding achievement."
Klopp explains reasoning for withdrawing Jones at 3-2
"When we decided to make the change it was 2-2 but we needed more up front and a clear structure. We needed to give them another player to give them something to think about. I think it worked really well. We had massive chances."
'Nothing to say' Klopp refuses to blame Salah's glaring miss
"These things happen, it was brilliant play. The pass from Robbo, to Diogo, Diogo two touch turns, Sadio one touch next pass and Mo alone, it’s brilliant football. You have to accept that Mo scores usually in those situations, today not.
"There’s absolutely nothing to say about, I like how we connected up front, like I said we should’ve scored more but then if we win 3-2 or 4-3 we still had these struggles defensively.
"They did really well Toney and Mbeumo and it was tricky for the boys, first half it was more the second balls we didn’t pick up in midfield then second half round the goals they just deflect and are always in a better position than us. We can do better in these situations we just didnt today then that’s not satisfying. Spectacular game, Brentford deserved the point."
Klopp rues missed chances
"Not sure 'enjoy' is the right word but to use the phrase 'wild ride', they deserved their three goals for the way they played and we obviously couldn’t deal with that properly with long balls today for different reasons.
"We should’ve scored more goals we had incredible chances, they had one more first half when Joel cleared it off the line. Second half I can’t remember any apart from the goals.
"They deserved it, we played offensively or with the ball I don’t think you can control them much better because we created a lot of chances, a lot of clear cut chances and played offensively really well but couldn’t deal with them today defensively."
Ian Doyle's reviews the Reds' evening to forget
Virgil van DIjk appeared to struggle with physacility of Brentford's forward line this evening, especially when up against Ivan Toney.
The Dutchman started the season in exceptional form and has displayed no signs of last season's ACL injury slowing him down.
However, the defender was unusually not as his best as he failed to deal with everything that the Bees threw at him over the course of the 90 minutes.
You can read Ian Doyle analysis of a game the Dutch defender and Liverpool won't forget for a while here.
Frank lauds the Reds as one of Europe's 'best' sides.
Speaking to Sky Sports after his side claimed a dramaitc draw against title-chasing Liverpool, Thomas Frank hailed Jurgen Klopp's men as one of the best sides in Europe.
"Proud I must say, I think we went toe to toe with one of the three best teams in the country at this moment in time. One of the best teams in Europe the last three years and I think we got a well deserved point and we worked hard in.
"Liverpool are the most dangerous on counters when they’re running committing so many runs forward, but it’s difficult because we want to go high, we want to be brave but at times a little bit too open."
Henderson reviews 'difficult' game
"It was an intense game, we knew it would be. It's a difficult place to come. It was a great atmosphere and they made it difficult for us. To go in the lead twice and not see it out is disappointing for us.
"At 2-1 up we had one or two chances to finish the game off. It gives them that little bit of hope. That's football sometimes, we're disappointed with the result but we have to give credit to Brentford."
Janelt hails Liverpool after draw
Vitaly Janelt, one of Brentfords goal scorers, heaped the praise on Jurgen Klopp's men when speaking to Sky Sports after the 3-3 draw at the Brentford Community Stadium.
"Liverpool I say it is one of the best teams in the world and I think the two times they go in front, we go back we go back, we have the mentality and the quality to score maybe if we have a bit of luck we score 4-3."
Full-time: Brentford 3-3 Liverpool
Drama in the final moments as Raya denies Liverpool again but it ends 3-3.
Poor defending from Liverpool today, but they also missed some big opportunities.
Two points dropped.
Toney thinks he's won it...
Ivan Toney smashes home what he thinks to be the winner from just inside the box. However, the linesman raises his flag instantly.
The striker is clearly offside by a number of yards.
Van Dijk keeps it level
Crucial block from Van Dijk with his heels as Brentford chase a winner. Corner to the hosts…
Goal! Brentford 3-3 Liverpool (Wissa)
Once again Alexander-Arnold is left outnumbered at the back post and Brentford take full advantage. It’s 3-3. The goal stands and Liverpool have to go again. Can they rally for a fourth?
Liverpool really need a a fourth here
Liverpool are really probing a game-settling fourth here but Brentford are holding firm. A big 10 minutes or so here now.
Salah fluffs his lines
Mane threads a perfectly weighted ball to Salah who finds himself one-on-one with Raya but the Egyptian is unable to grab his second of the evening as he fluffs his lines and fires over.
That could have been it for Liverpool.
Jones' impact felt
It's fair to say Jones made a mark on his first Premier League start of the season. It wasn't his finest performance in a Liverpool shirt as he failed to get going at certain points but his moment of brilliance will plant a seed in the mind of the Liverpool manager, no doubt.
Jones brought off as Reds switch shape
Firmino is on or Jones to make it a 4-2-3-1 now for Liverpool. Robertson is in the book for hauling back Baptiste on the break. Well punched away by Alisson.
Goal! Brentford 2-3 Liverpool (Jones)
Curtis Jones fires Liverpool back into the lead with a thunderbolt from 20-yards out.
Goal! Brentford 2-2 Liverpool. (Janelt)
I said a third might be needed. It most definitely is now. Brentford are back in it through Vitaly Janelt who bundles it home after Trent Alexander-Arnold had been left to deal with a three-v-one at the back post.

VAR to the rescue
That looked offside from first glance but the first replay showed Canos was playing Salah onside. From that moment on it was destined to be a goal.
Goal! Brentford 1-2 Liverpool (Salah)
Well, who said they were against VAR?! Mo Salah brings up his 100th Premier League goal for Liverpool after a wonderful ball over the top from Fabinho and a lengthy check at the monitors. It’s 2-1 to the visitors. They have been much better this half already.
The Reds applying plenty of pressure
Liverpool are attempting to turn the screw in the early going but three corners in a row have yielded little. It’s a brighter start than the first half, at least.
Raya denies Jota again
Jota nearly bundles in his second of the game but Raya is on hand to tip behind for a corner.
Thiago's absence being felt this evening
Liverpool have missed Thiago Alcantara today. No-one in that midfield has got hold of the ball and calmed it down at any stage. Brentford want it to be fast and frenetic and Liverpool have allowed that so far.
Half time thoughts
Well, Liverpool can’t say they weren’t warned. At least not if they read this blog, anyway.
We had expected Brentford to be well up for it and to offer a different kind of challenge, and that’s exactly what is happening.
There is little chance of the home side losing their energy levels going forward but it will be encouraging that Liverpool have created so many chances despite not playing well.
Is a little tactical tinkering in order from Klopp? We shall see.
Half time ratings
Alisson Becker 7
Stood up well to Onyeka for early chance and no chance for the opener.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 5
Saw a fair amount of the ball in the opening quarter but didn’t do a lot with it.
Joel Matip 6
Goalline clearance denied Mbeumo and the one Liverpool defender to look convincing before break.
Virgil van Dijk 5
Really unsettled by Toney and given a physical going over at times. Pulled out of position.
Andy Robertson 5
One barnstorming run aside, struggled to make inroads down the left flank and played Canos onside for first Brentford goal.
Fabinho 5
Caught out by Pinnock at the far post for the opener and too often Brentford simply sprinted past him.
Jordan Henderson 6
Couldn’t get into the game properly until delivering excellent cross for Jota’s equaliser.
Curtis Jones 7
Started strongly and the one Liverpool player up to speed with the battle. Unlucky to hit post with one shot.
Mohamed Salah 6
Denied by a clearance off the line by Ajer early on and did well in build-up to the equaliser. Given close attention by Brentford.
Diogo Jota 7
Sent Salah through for his chance, brilliantly headed home the equaliser and was somehow denied by Raya from close range.
Sadio Mane 5
Gave the ball away too often first half but did well in some defensive situations.
