MUMBAI: Mumbai on Sunday reported 479 new cases of coronavirus.
The overall case tally has now climbed to 7,41,240.
Also, the death toll has now mounted to 16,084 with five persons succumbing to the virus in the day.
All five were over 60 years of age. Four of them also had comorbidities.
The number of daily recoveries in the Maximum City was slightly more than the new cases.
On Sunday, 481 persons got cured of Covid-19, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
With a recovery rate of 97 per cent, Mumbai has so far recorded 7,18,002 discharges.
The city is now left with 4,667 active cases.
The overall growth rate of Covid-19 cases from September 19 to September 25 is 0.06 per cent, while the doubling rate is 1,208 days.
The number of sealed buildings in the BMC limits is now pitched at 51, whereas there are no active containment zones (slums and chawls) in the city.
