A property consultancy has announced the re-election of its managing partner as well as a senior Birmingham appointment.

Fisher German has confirmed the re-election of Andrew Bridge as managing partner who will lead the business for a further three-year term from April.

The firm has also announced that partner Duncan Bedhall, based at the firm's Birmingham office, will step into the role of senior partner from October.

Mr Bridge became managing partner in 2019 and stood uncontested for a second term.

Mr Bedhall will commence the role of senior partner for three years, succeeding Tim Shuldham who is stepping down after retiring from the partnership earlier this year.

He has more than 30 years of experience working in the property industry with specialisms in industrial and office properties, commercial property investment and strategic portfolio advice.

He joined Fisher German in 2016 following the merger of his firm, Jarvie Bedhall, with Halls (Midlands), which then went on to merge with Fisher German's Worcester-based team.

Mr Bedhall said: "Tim has done a fantastic job in progressing our Pathway to Partnership scheme and navigating the partnership and its priorities through the pandemic.

"I look forward to continuing his excellent work and representing the partners over the next three years."

In other property appointments news, Birmingham-based land promoter Richborough Estates has appointed Richard Lomas as planning director.

He has joined from Axis PED and has held previous posts at The Co-op, Gladman, Turley Associates and CBRE, having worked closely with Richborough Estates for several years on a number of projects.

In his new role, Mr Lomas will lead on planning strategy for the eastern division which covers the east, central and southeast regions and steer its pipeline of development sites through the planning system to deliver land for thousands of new homes.

Planning consultancy RPS has appointed Faraz Baber as operational director for its Midlands and South East teams.

In his new role, Mr Baber will be supporting the growth of the company's multi-disciplinary planning and environmental practice.

He is a dual-qualified chartered surveyor and town planner who sits on the RICS and BPF Planning Committees.

Residential and commercial developer Godwin has made a trio of senior appointments in its Birmingham office.

Nick Harrison has been appointed as planning director, Andrew Cox as development director (industrial) and Michael Sutton as associate director (construction).

Mr Harrison has more than 20 years of experience with high-profile property development and is a former director with consultancies Lambeth Smith Hampton and GVA.

Mr Cox joins Godwin from Black Country firm London and Cambridge Properties where he managed a major industrial portfolio, worth £144 million, across the Midlands and North West.

Mr Sutton is a chartered building surveyor by profession with over 28 years of experience in the commercial property sector, covering technical due diligence, project and construction consultancy as well as business development and client relationship management.

Solihull-based residential land specialist Terra Strategic has expanded the team with the appointment of Sienna Barbour as strategic land manager to drive land and development opportunities.

Ms Barbour joins from Cirencester-based John Alison Land and Research where she was based for four years and held the position of chartered surveyor, identifying strategic land suitable for residential development.

She is also experienced at development appraisals, marketing sites, putting together landowner consortiums and negotiating heads of terms.

Joining Terra's sister business in Solihull, housebuilder Hayfield, is Katie Christou as planning manager to expand its specialist in-house planning team.

She joins from Milton Keynes-based David Lock Associates where she was based for eight years.

Her management experience spans the entire planning process, from site promotion to development implementation.

Birmingham-based Principle Estate Management has awarded a science graduate a full-time position after she first worked for the company on a temporary contract.

Esme Williams was initially employed at the residential management specialists for just a fortnight to fill in for an apprentice who was off work after a horse-riding accident.

However, she impressed management at the firm so has now been recruited as a full-time business integration assistant.

She graduated with a first class masters with honours in chemistry from the University of Birmingham.
