Updated Sep. 26, 2021 2:20 a.m. ET

Week 4 of the college football season brought with it more than a few intriguing matchups.

It was a day filled with close calls, upsets and standout performances as No. 4 Oklahoma won a tough battle in Norman against West Virginia, and No. 16 Arkansas handed No. 7 Texas A&M its first loss of the season, defeating the Aggies 20-10.

In the early window, No. 12 Notre Dame and QB Jack Coan smashed his old team, No. 18 Wisconsin, 41-13. With the win, Brian Kelly is now the winningest coach in ND school history (106).

And in the afternoon, sparks flew in Starkville as LSU narrowly escaped Mississippi State 28-25, and an in-state rivalry was renewed when Texas demolished host Texas Tech 70-35. And in a later stunner, Oregon State took down USC with ease.
