Police investigating an attack at Newbury Racecourse that left a man with head injuries and a broken shin have released a CCTV image of two people they are looking for.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was assaulted outside the grandstand at Newbury on Saturday, August 14 before 6pm.

He sustained injuries to his face and cuts to his head as well as a broken shin.

Thames Valley Police has now issued a picture of two men officers want to speak to over the "incident of grievous bodily harm".

The investigating officer, PC Niamh Meaney, said: “We are releasing the image of these two men as we believe they may have information about this incident.

“If you recognise either of the men in this image, or believe either may be you, please get in touch.”

PC Meaney added: “I would also appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have information about what happened to please contact police.
