Turkey’s Purchasing Managers’ Index for manufacturing sector reaches 52.5 in September


(MENAFN) Based on statistics revealed on Friday, Turkey’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector reached 52.5 in September.

According to a monthly report by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and London-based global data firm IHS Markit, in August, the PMI dropped from 54.1 but marked a stable monthly development in operating conditions.

It further declared that “Output and new orders have each now risen in four successive months, with the latest improvements in demand supporting further expansions in employment and purchasing activity.”

The report also stated that accumulations of work rose for the first time since July 2020 planned at a sustained growth of work.
