One of the world's most influential travel magazines has just announced the winners of its annual Readers' Choice Awards - with Scotland's cities and hotels taking home some top prizes.

The annual Condé Nast Traveller awards, which aim to rank best travel options from around the world, takes responses from more than 800,000 readers revealing some of the most sought after destinations and popular locations to travel to.

Aiming to inspire travellers to get out and reconnect with the world after a tough few years, the awards have named both Glasgow and Edinburgh in the top five cities to travel to in 2021 in the UK.

“The diversity and vibrancy of our Readers’ Choice Award winners represent a desire to get back out into the world and experience the best of what the travel industry has to offer.”
