Everton return to Premier League action this weekend when they take on West Ham.

The Blues welcome former boss David Moyes and the Hammers at Goodison Park on Sunday, in their first match following the international break.

Rafa Benitez will hope that Everton can maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign, and potentially improve on their current fifth place position.

Benitez could have a few selection headaches going into the clash against West Ham, with some members of his squad unlikely to feature due to injury.

That being said, there are one or two who could make a return from injury on Sunday afternoon.

Richarlison

The Brazilian has been out with a knee problem since the win over Burnley at the start of September.

Richarlison has been pictured taking part in a training session at Finch Farm, and Benitez has said that the forward is “improving”.

That hints that Richarlison will not be fit in time to feature against the Hammers, but we wait until team news to know for sure.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

The Everton striker suffered a broken toe at the end of August, as well as a quadriceps injury, and has gradually been building up his fitness.

Like Richarlison, Benitez has said that Calvert-Lewin is improving but did not say whether the striker is likely to feature against West Ham.

Calvert-Lewin has missed the last four Premier League matches due to injury, but still scored a goal in each of his three appearances this term.

Seamus Coleman

The Everton captain has returned to full training and is in contention to feature against the Hammers on Sunday.

Coleman picked up a hamstring injury last month and has missed the last three league fixtures with the problem.

However, Benitez says the Republic of Ireland international is in training and in line to feature at Goodison.

Lucas Digne

The France international suffered a muscle injury while with his country this month, and as a result returned to Merseyside earlier than expected.

However, the problem doesn't seem to be serious enough to keep him out of contention for this weekend's clash with West Ham as things stand.

“Lucas had an issue and for two or three days was under treatment but he has started training,” Benitez told evertonfc.com .

Alex Iwobi

The forward missed Everton’s draw with Manchester United just before the international break with a knock.

Benitez has since confirmed that Iwobi has returned to full training and is also in with a chance of featuring against West Ham on Sunday.

“Alex Iwobi was training and [so were] Digne and Coleman – that is good news for us – they have started training with the team,” said Benitez.

“The others are improving and we will see in the week how they are.”
