One of India's greatest ever captains, Kapil Dev is known for his calm and composed approach on the field. Over the years, the legendary all-rounder has been an inspiration to many, including some of the greats of the game. Known for playing hard and fair on the field, Kapil Dev hardly let his emotions take control but the World Cup-winning captain was seen in a different avatar in a new advertisement that has gone viral on social media.

After the likes of Rahul Dravid, Neeraj Chopra and Venkatesh Prasad played uncharacteristic roles for the advertisement of a popular credit card bill payment application, Kapil Dev has joined the bandwagon.

in the viral advertisement that hit social media on the day of the IPL 2021 final, Kapil Dev was seen in a pumped-up avatar as he mimicked the body language of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.

From wearing flashy clothes on the cricket field to sledging his opponents, Dev has added plenty of color to the advertisement. The former India captain can also be seen bowling side-arm.

Notably, Ranveer Singh is playing Kapil Dev in the film that brings to screen the story of India's 1983 World Cup triumph. And it's role reversal in this well-crafted advertisement film.

Kapil Dev took to social media on Friday, posting the video of the advertisement that has been widely shared on social media.

"Heads, I'm fashionable. Tails, I'm still fashionable," Dev wrote as caption for the post.

Notably, Neeraj Chopra's advertisement for the said brand was a huge hit as he took a cheeky jibe at the euphoria that surrounded him after he won a historic gold medal for India in men's javelin at the Tokyo Olympics.

Earlier this year, Rahul Dravid broke the internet, playing "Indiranagar ka Goonda" in the advertisement for the brand while Venkatesh Prasad flaunted his skills as a singer by playing the lead singer in the boy band "Vengaboys".
