The new FIFA 22 Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) promo was confirmed by EA Sports on Wednesday, with subsequent loading screens then confirming the card designs, release date and time of the promo and explaining how the dynamic items will upgrade.

On the RTTK FUT 22 promo, EA say: "Kicking off today, Friday, October 15, we follow in the footsteps of ‘Road to the Final’, with the first act of a refreshed European football themed celebration

"‘ Road to the Knockouts ’. RTTF is now broken up into multiple phases with a "Road to the Knockouts" taking place for the next two weeks and a "Road to the Final" more in line with what we're accustomed to arriving later this cycle."

"'Road to the Knockouts' doesn't just mean dynamic Special Player Items that get upgrades should their teams advance: in a bit of a twist, following the success of Ones to Watch's refresh, these player items will now get upgrades not just for reaching the Knockout stages, but also a potential second ratings increase if their club wins 3 of their next 4 Group Stage matches.

"The campaign, which previously included players from both the UEFA Champions & Europa Leagues, also heralds the arrival of the UEFA Europa Conference League, the new third tier in European competitions."

This could lead to some huge upgrades, particularly in regards to a player like Marquinhos, whose RTTK special item could potentially reach 91 overall, should PSG win three of their next four games and quality for the knockout stages.
