ORLANDO, Fla. – The first set of celebrity narrators have been revealed for the 2021 edition of Epcot’s Candlelight Processional, which was canceled last year because of the pandemic.

The celebrity narrators set to participate this year include Chita Rivera, Jodi Benson, Alton Fitzgerald White, Lisa Ling and Pat Sajak, Disney World announced Friday.

The current lineup of celebrity narrators, which is subject to change:

  • Chita Rivera - Nov. 29-Dec. 1
  • Jodi Benson - Dec. 2-4
  • Alton Fitzgerald White - Dec. 5-7
  • Lisa Ling - Dec. 11-13
  • Steven Curtis Chapman - Dec. 23-25
  • Blair Underwood - Dec. 26-28
  • Pat Sajak - Dec. 29-30

Disney said more names will be added to the list in the coming weeks.

For the Candlelight Processional, celebrity narrators lead a retelling of the traditional Christmas story. They are joined by a live orchestra and a mass choir. Last month Disney announced that in place of choirs from different community groups and schools this year’s processional would feature choirs comprised of only fully vaccinated cast members (employees).

All performers, including musicians and narrators are required to be vaccinated, Disney previously said.

The Candlelight Processional is part of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays which returns Nov. 26 and runs through Dec. 30.

The festival will also include Holiday Kitchens serving a variety of dishes such as slow-roasted turkey, holiday pot pie and pumpkin gingerbread cheesecake. A new Holiday Kitchen called Chestnuts & Good Cheer Holiday Kitchen has been added to the lineup and will offer fire-roasted chestnuts and cinnamon-glazed almonds and cashews.
