Let’s start with why I have chosen to let my name stand for Town Council. There is no better place to live and call home than Pincher Creek. It’s no secret that my passion has been in Parks and Recreation for which I served 17 years on the Recreation Board, sharing that with the Matthew Halton High School Parent Advisory Board. From there I spent 4 years on the Holy Spirit Catholic finance board. Next I spent 2 terms on the ARPA executive board, and lastly spent the past 25 year as the Chairman of The  Energize Committee for Alberta Parks and Recreation Association.

With my volunteerism over the past 45 years and the different boards and committees that I have served on I feel my experience would be an asset for me to make decisions for our community.

A few things that I strongly would promote: are new job creation, business retention, recreation and tourism opportunities, education and lifelong learning opportunities, safe streets and safe neighborhoods.

With the Rocky Mountains in our backyard and a National Park but 25 minutes away and a world class ski hill in Castle Mountain. We should be focusing on these assets for tourism. Other opportunities would include new job creation by attracting small manufacturing-industry to our community. This would open doors for education and lifelong learning opportunities.

It is imperative that a councilor needs to be a good listener. I enjoy talking to people, hearing their concerns and learning how we can make informed decisions for the future of our  community.

My wife Cindy and I have enjoyed raising our family in Pincher Creek. Which our children have also chosen to call Pincher Creek thome with their families. We now have 5 grandchildren living in Pincher Creek. I hope they have the same opportunities to raise their children in this great place called Pincher Creek.
