Adama Traore has been recalled to Wolverhampton Wanderers' starting line-up for today's derby clash with his former club Aston Villa.

The Spain international has been omitted from Bruno Lage's starting XI in the last two games but he replaces Francisco Trincao, who's isolating after testing positive for Covid-19.

Lage has also decided to rest Raul Jimenez following his international exertions with Mexico.

Leander Dendoncker replaces Jimenez as Wolves start with a 3-5-2 formation for the first time this season.

Lage was full of praise for Villa at his pre-match press conference, saying: “We know we’re going to play against a strong opponent, maybe one of the best teams in the league.

“They have invested a lot to try and arrive in a different position. We know we have six teams better than the other ones but Aston Villa is one of the best.

“They have top players, a top club and a top coach so they will try to have a good season. But tomorrow we will try to play a good game against them."
