The Pioneer varsity women’s tennis team kept their great season rolling when they defeated Golden Empire league foes Mesa Verde 9-0.

The sweep Tuesday evening saw the Patriots number one through six, and their three doubles teams all convincingly win their matches in two sets.

As the number one, Rachel Crets has to face the best player or number one on the opposing team. Tuesday was no different, but this time, she was able to win 6-3 and 6-0.

Pioneers number two Aaliyah Reyna won 6-2, 6-1, while the number three and five players in Dani Padilla and Abby Findley won 6-0 both times.

The Patriot number four Mohini Sharma won 6-2 6-1, and in the longest match of the evening, Pioneers number six Maddy Findley won 6-4 and 7-5.

In the doubles, the teams of Valaria Morales and Ashley Davis won 6-3, and 6-1, Rubda Fatima and Alejandra Hernandez won 6-3, 6-3, and Talise Eynon and Montse Valdonegro won 6-0 in both sets.
