GITEX 2021: Everything You Need to Know About the Tech Event

This year's GITEX exhibition is celebrating the major digital transformation that has been achieved over the last few years, promising "Safe, Smart, and Seamless" technology.

Bringing technological developers from all over the world to present their latest innovations in the Dubai World Trade Centre over the course of five days, starting on the 17th, GITEX Global might be the world's biggest in-person tech event since the pandemic. 

"Creating a bolder digital future together" can be seen on the banners of the event, where topics discussed include AI applications for Digital Cities, Edtech, Healthcare, Energy, Data Economy, Cybersecurity, Telecom Technologies, Marketing, Future Mobility, Startups, FinTech and Blockchain Technologies

What you need to know about GITEX this year:

1. More than 140 countries are participating in this year's version of GITEX. 

2. GITEX 2021 will feature more than 450 guest speakers, 40% of which visit the Middle East region for the first time.

3. Around 35% of guest speakers are women.

4. More than 3000 global enterprises will be showcasing their latest products and technological creations in GITEX Global 2021.

5. More than 200 government entities will also be present in the event, so they showcase their experiences in e-governance over the years.

6. GITEX 2021 offers visitors three types of entry passes: Visitors ($60), Delegate ($96), and Workshop ($136).

7. This year's conference sheds light on the experiences of other nations around the world with the GITEX Global Leaders Vision program, showcasing experiences of African countries, Saudi Arabia and the GCC, in addition to a separate day to discuss the UAE's recently announced Projects of the 50

8. All travelers to Dubai require either proof of vaccinations or a negative PCR test within 72 hours of their trips. However, entering the GITEX Global venue at the Dubai World Trade Center does not require any of those documents, but does impose face masks all the time while inside the location where the event is being held.

9. The GITEX Future Stars program will give more than 700 startups from around 60 countries the opportunity to meet with more than 400 investors who can potentially help them grow their small businesses.

10. GITEX 2021 will also give major global tech developers to showcase their latest smart devices and technologies, including robots and the most advanced phones and computers everyone wants to try.
