C 05 Studios want to take you out live right now to what looks like a very dangerous house fire just east of the state capital maybe less than 1000 ft from the state capital. This is on the 1200 block of East Madison. We have a crew. They're bringing you these live pictures from the scene right now. What we can tell you is this firefighters say that they have pulled a victim out of this house fire. That when they arrived there was heavy black smoke coming out of this house, a small house again just east of the capital. To put it in better perspective, if you're familiar with Glen Ellyn Park or Florence's restaurant on east 23rd, this is very, very close to that. We do not know the age of the victim, nor do we know the gender, nor do we know the condition of this person at this time. But the fact that we have confirmed that somebody was quote pulled out of that burning structure obviously has us very concerned firefighters working on this fire. As you can see most of the, they reported heavy heavy black smoke earlier, it looks like most of that is is out. And they're now just kind of analyzing the scene and grouping up and talking about it. But we're here on scene, we're going to be bringing you the very latest on this. A man died after a fire sparked at a northeast Oklahoma City home Monday afternoon, fire department officials said.Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the 1200 block of East Madison Street, near Northeast 23rd Street and North Kelley Avenue, around 2:40 p.m. Authorities said they also received reports that a victim was inside the home.When firefighters arrived, they reported a fire at a single-story home that had bars on the doors and some of the windows, according to a news release. They quickly removed the bars from the front porch area and windows, entered the home, battled the fire and searched victims.Authorities said firefighters found a man dead in the central portion of a home in the living room. They continued their search for any other possible victims, but no other victims were found. Officials later confirmed no one else was inside the home. Per protocol, the Oklahoma City Police Department's homicide unit was called to the scene to conduct a joint investigation with the fire department.Authorities said no smoke alarm was present. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
