Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley could see a few storms over the next few days, forecasters say.

Northern Benton County is most likely to see heavy rainfall after midnight, according to the website of the National Weather Service.

Though there is a chance of severe storms with hail late Friday night and early Saturday in northeast Oklahoma, Northwest Arkansas can expect thunderstorms at most.

However, the region's forecast for Sunday evening outlines an "enhanced risk" of serious threats like tornadoes, damaging winds and golf ball sized hail, according to the website.

An associated cold front could also arrive on Sunday.

"At this time, all severe weather hazards appear possible, but some uncertainty remains in the exact threats and timing. Keep checking the latest forecasts for the next couple of days as Sunday approaches," the service's website states.
