Middle Georgia Greek Festival resumes as a drive through this year

This year the festival is to go only. You can stay in your car and order, walk up and order food to go or order ahead online.

MACON, Georgia(41NBC/WMGT)- The annual Middle Georgia Greek Festival is back, but it’s little different this year. There will not be any tents, vendors, or live music.

This year the festival is to go only. You can stay in your car and order, walk up and order food to go or order ahead online.

Organizers say even though the festival isn’t like years past, they still wanted to bring that same Greek culture.

“You know one thing you’re always going to find with the Greek is that they’re always going To open their door to you, they’re going to welcome you into their house and they’re going to feed you. You won’t leave with an empty stomach,” said festival co-chairman Natlia Saratsiotis.

You still still find the same delicious food like Greek Fries and baklava. Proceeds will go to several charities in Middle Georgia.

The festival lasts until Sunday at the Greek Orthodox Church in downtown Macon.

You can pre-order food at HOLYCROSSGA.ORG/FESTIVAL
