NEW DELHI: Three inmates suffered injuries after a clash broke out between two groups of prisoners in Tihar Jail, police said on Monday.
According to the police, they received information about the attack on Friday from the hospital.
"A team reached the hospital and found that Pinku (24), Sunil Sherawat (32), Sunny (32), all lodged in jail number one in Tihar, were found injured," the officer said.

According to a officer, sharp objects were used to attack these men.
Sunil and Pinku were referred to another hospital for further treatment.
"All three patients are behind the bars in different cases," the officer said.
During the investigation, police found the role of four inmates in the attack.
Sources said that recently, during checking by jail staff, a phone was recovered from the cell of attackers.
"They were suspecting that the victims have given information about the phone to jail authority. We are probing whether this point was the reason behind the clash," a source said adding that the four men belong to a notorious gang.
The officer added that the statement of Sunny was recorded.
"During the enquiry, a complaint from the deputy superintendent was received. A case under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC was registered against all accused persons," the officer said.
