Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke in Sarasota, Florida, on Monday. He discussed topics such as the rate of employment in the state of Florida, as well as tourism and air travel.DeSantis said that since 2020, the rate of air travel has increased by 223%. He said that's not surprising due to more people traveling now, and that travel has also increased about 6% from 2019 to 2021."We're going to continue to make sure that Florida is open, free and full of opportunity," DeSantis said, in part, during Monday's news conference.DeSantis also talked about how many people chose Florida over other states during the pandemic, because of the policies and opportunities that Florida provides."Florida offers a better experience, maybe more than other places in the United States since COVID happened," the governor said.Full video will be available in the player above.
