A UFO investigator wants the likes of Gemma Collins to assist him in finding evidence of aliens in North Wales.

Russ Kellett has been investigating sightings and strange phenomena for decades, with his research suggesting that North Wales is a "hotspot" for extraterrestrial activity.

He has now invited celebrities, who are said to have an interest in such activity, to join him in unlocking the alien secrets of the region, as reported by the Daily Star.

It comes after TOWIE star Gemma said last year that her mum Joan claimed to have an extraterrestrial encounter whilst on a train, as reported by the Mirror previously.

Other celebrities who are said to have an interest in UFOs include Robbie Williams and fellow musician Kim Wilde.

And earlier this month, the Daily Star reported that McFly member Tom Fletcher - who is currently competing on Strictly Come Dancing - had a "lifelong fear" of aliens.

Investigator Russ now wants them to visit his base in North Wales and discover the truth.

It's reported that he said areas like the Dee Estuary, where he does research with pal Lynn Murphy, are UFO hotspots.

He said: "I want [them and any other celebrities] to know it's genuine. We're not after money. We want to go out for a couple of nights and hopefully make contact."

In recent years, certain areas in North Wales have been highlighted as hotspots for unexplained sightings.

As previously reported, Russ believes they could be linked to an "incident" in the Berwyn Mountains in January 1974 - when a UFO was claimed to have come down.

Some locals were said to have observed strange lights and noises over areas like Bala and Llangollen at that time.

Russ is said to be writing a book based on his years of research into the incident.
