Similar, situation prevailed in Kuchinda and Rairakhol sub-division areas of the district.
"We demand the removal of Dibya Shankar Misra besides CBI inquiry into the incident. The state government is trying to protect the minister. We demand justice for vicitm’s family," said Aswini Majhi, Sambalpur district president, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

BJD, however, alleged that BJP was doing politics on the issue.
"It is a sensitive issue. The investigation in this matter is under way and whosoever is involved will be brought to justice. But by calling bandhs, the BJP is misleading the investigation process," said Sanjaya Baboo, spokesperson of the BJD.
"Since the BJP does not have any achievement to tell the people ahead of the Panchayat election, they are doing politics on such a sensitive issue," he said.
