and the low country. This is W. J. C. L. 22 morning news. See us hammers of the essence right now on W. J. C. L. 22 morning news. A baby hurt badly after an explosion at this home. The reason neighbors say fire crews and E. M. S. Would have gotten there faster. Mhm. Mhm. What sitting today and the Atlanta braves getting ready to play game one of the World Series tonight braves fans through the proof will have all the playoff excitement coming up. It is right now. 6:00 on your Tuesday morning and we are looking live, we are in downtown Savannah at for South Park. Well, I'm pretty nice out there this morning. We want to thank you so much for waking up with us right here on W. J. C. L. 22. I'm in the hamiltonian and I'm Ashley Garrett. Let's get a check. Now this certified most accurate forecast with meteorologist Jonathan Myers something we can talk about that Tuesday morning starter pack. It should probably include some sunglasses, sunglasses definitely needed for sure. Today, Ashley we're gonna see plenty of it. Not a bad start this morning. Low to mid sixties as we start the day off cold fronts just back off to our west. You can see where it's already moved through those fifties in Atlanta and also making, so starting things off here right at six o'clock. We're seeing low to mid sixties there. See 66 at nine and 72 at lunchtime. Most of its for today. About 76 to about 77 where we'll top off her high is a look at all that sunshine throughout the daytime And also after work looking nice with those low 70's at six o'clock. Now the weather headlines will show more nice weather not early today, but also for tomorrow as well. But the impact weather day is coming up on thursday rain and also some gusty winds on thursday afternoon as a strong cold front moves during that front definitely. We'll bring in some much cooler weather just in time for Halloween and I'll Detail those changes. Rain will track it out in future casts in less than 10 minutes. Okay, let's head outside for a live look at traffic. This is I-95 in southern McIntosh County where you can see no traffic issues to report at this time time is of the essence of their response time. So that's our only disappointment right now. Concerns about whether 911 dispatchers picked up fast enough and this comes after an explosion and fire at this home, Emma, we understand a four month old is in critical condition this morning actually, such an awful story, Chatham County E. M. S. Tells us that a family of four was inside of that home at the time of the explosion. Now we first brought you this as breaking news right here on W. J. C. L. 22 morning news yesterday and up and around seven o'clock in the morning on pinpoint Avenue off of the Diamond Causeway at Ferguson Avenue fire investigators say they're working to figure out what caused that explosion and neighbors want to know too. They say it woke them up and sent them running outside only to find that home burning. They say the worst part Was that they kept calling 911 But no one picked up. You need someone to come out because 911 is an answer and immediately she said, well I have a matter of fact, I got 15 other cars coming in about that location. We asked Shannon County fire officials what happened? They told us that 11 dispatch isn't directly through them. We also reached out to the Chatham County manager's office but haven't received a response, we will continue pushing for answers later today again, it was a family of four inside of that home at the time, Ashley including a 14 year old And a four month old who is in critical condition. And while we are certainly hoping for the best for this family, we do thank you for passing along that report. Well happening this morning. Jury selection is set to continue in the trial of the men accused of murdering Ahmad are very right now. The judge has 32 qualified jurors to choose from, but that's half the amount he wants. The goal is to get that number down to 12 with four alternates. Now we're told the problem is the case is so well known that many people already have their minds made up about who's at fault. Several prospective jurors were sent home yesterday because they personally knew armory as for outside of the courthouse robbery. Family supporters held a vigil yesterday. The group called juneteenth Georgia is one of the groups keeping steady supporters outside the Glynn County courthouse. We wanna make sure that locals know they can come out and show their support. It's a lot easier and I think it is, all they have to do is come grab a chair, sit out here with us. Um, but we have to show that this was wrong. Well, the jury selection process could potentially go into next week and another reminder. Our extensive coverage of this trial continues online. We've put together a timeline of everything that's happened up until now, including a map. You can find it on the homepage of our website. That's W J C O dot com.
