This the moment when a UFO spotter captured the "underside of a craft" hovering above her head during a sky watch at a notorious Scots sighting spot.

Tress Blair, from West Lothian, was out at Dechmont Woods in Livingston when the incident happened at around 2am on Sunday, October 10.

The site is where forestry worker Robert Taylor reported seeing an alien spaceship in November 1979.

Robert famously told how two-spiked spheres then rolled out towards him and, as he passed out, he was aware of being grabbed on either side of his legs before waking up in a dishevelled state 20 minutes later.

Tress and fellow UFO spotters returned to the site and captured what they believe to be a large craft on dash-cam footage after returning home.

Tress told the Record: "We were at the sky watch for the evening and when we got back into the car we switched the lights on and we didn't see anything.

"It wasn't until we got home, we were looking for something else and then that appeared straight away on the film.

"When I saw it I knew straight away it was the underneath of a craft you are looking up into it.

"The door is underneath it. The door would open and take whatever into the craft.

"So they have been hovering around above us and following us around while we were there at the forest."

The short clip shows the darkness as the dash cam is switched off.

Then the camera is switched back on, and when Tress is about to leave, it captures what appears to be a large green object outside hovering in the sky.

There have been several sightings at Dechmont Woods since the Robert Taylor incident.

The forest has a way-marked trail to discover more about unusual event and for punters to enjoy the woodlands, wildlife and views of Dechmont Law.

Tress said: "Bob Taylor was taken by a pod at the time. It must have been watching him for a while then it has taken him.

"I don't think anyone other than us has spotted crafts yet at Dechmont Woods, but they have spotted them over Livingston."

Tress has been following UFOs throughout her life and is absolutely convinced what she saw was a craft from outer space.

She said: "It's the underneath of a very large craft.

"I've got loads of stuff like this from the past. I have a lifetime of experience in this field.

"I would never try to convince anyone of this, but I am just putting it out there that we do have sisters and brothers from other planets that have been with us for many, many years.

"We are the visitors, not the other species. We haven't been here as long as they have. They are here in peace and love and they only want the best for the planet.

"I do a lot of sky watches and all sorts of things."

She added: "I was a year old when I awakened in my body knowing I came from another planet and I'm here to work.

"I go out and take pictures of all the different crafts and all the different species that come here. We've recently done a TV documentary for Holland where they followed me around all day to see what I was up to.

"I speak my own language from the planet I'm from, Sucrma. I was actually singing that night when we bringing other species in."

UFO and Paranormal researcher Malcolm Robinson, founder of Scottish research group Strange Phenomena Investigations, was also out on the sky watch at Dechmont Woods on the night of the sighting.

Malcolm admits the footage has "stumped him" and insists it is currently "unexplainable".

The 64-year-old told the Record: "It clearly is interesting as there is no structure where the car was pointing, nothing that resembles what was seen on the footage.

"It certainly has me stumped, and as yet, I can't explain it.

"Needless to say, I will be checking with all the minor and major airports in Scotland, to see if anything was flying in the sky at that time, just to rule this out.

"That said, whatever this object was, it sure did not look like an aircraft as it was fairly close to the car."
