Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announce that this morning Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Mitchell Weinberg conducted an autopsy on Thamba Mbungu (age 20), whose body was found at Derryfield Park on the morning of October 24, 2021. Dr. Weinberg determined that the cause of Mr. Mbungu's death was a gunshot wound to the back, and that the manner of death is homicide.

Mr. Mbungu's death is under active investigation, and anyone with information regarding the matter is encouraged to contact detectives at the Manchester Police Department at (603) 668-8711.
