West Ham XI vs Man City: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Carabao Cup game today

David Moyes will call upon his West Ham fringe players once again for tonight’s Carabao Cup showdown with Manchester City.

Their reward for downing Manchester United in the previous round, the Hammers must find a way past the team which has won the previous three editions of the competition if they are to reach the quarter-finals.

Moyes rotated his side to an extent for the last round and swapped out six players as his team beat Genk last week but chose a strong team ahead of tonight’s game. Indeed, Mark Noble comes back into the side and only Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio are the outfielders to have been afforded a rest.

Both Vladimir Coufal (groin) and Alex Kral (Covid-19) are out and the young Ben Johnson keeps his place at right-back.

Starting West Ham XI: Areola; Johnson, Dawson, Diop, Cresswell; Masuaku, Soucek, Noble; Lanzini, Vlasic, Yarmolenko.
