GNIDA plans a wrestling court in Sector 37

GREATER NOIDA: Development of a wrestling court, 6% abadi plots, building of community hall as well as 31 other works will be done in over Rs 56 crore in Greater Noida. GNIDA also issued Rs 8.2 crore tender to turn three more villages from the list of 14 into smart villages in the first phase.
While the authority will spend Rs 8.7 crore on developing the 6% abadi plots in different villages, it will spend Rs 61 lakh on building a wrestling court in Sector 37.

"Wrestlers can practice here. Tenders worth Rs 56 crore have been issued to get 31 development works related to many sectors and villages," said AK Arora general manager (Projects) GNIDA.
While tenders of about Rs 8 crore have been issued for the maintenance of 130-meter road from the roundabout of Roja village to Tilapta, another tender of Rs 2.59 crore was floated for maintenance of the stretch in Surajpur-Kasna road.
Other works include repair of the patch from village Imliyaka to Dankaur-Bilaspur link road, development of abadi plots in Ghanghola, three years maintenance work of builders' area, maintenance work from Gaur Chowk to Tigri roundabout, interlocking tile work, drain, boundary wall etc. in village Girdharpur.
Tenders have also been issued for development work in Sectors Pi 3, 4, 16B, Chi 3, 4 and 5, Knowledge Park 1 and for villages Tugalpur, Sadullapur, Gulistanpur and Kheda Dharmapura.

"The authority is moving fast in providing 6% residential plots to all farmers by identifying the land and developing it. After completing the tender process, work will be started soon," said Arora. The authority will also spend Rs 8.2 crore to develop Cheerasi, Astauli and Sirsa villages.
"Every house will have water and sewer connection. Sewer lines will be connected to STP. Also, roads and drainage will be improved," he said
Applications for the tender of these villages will start from November 3 and will be accepted till November 17.
