The state government on Wednesday released the final instalment of Rs 74.5 crore to be distributed as relief to over 2 lakh farmers affected by floods in the current financial year.

LUCKNOW: The state government on Wednesday released the final instalment of Rs 74.5 crore to be distributed as relief to over 2 lakh farmers affected by floods in the current financial year.
The revenue department had identified 6.17 lakh farmers affected by floods and had released a sum of over Rs 207 crore for the purpose.
This allocation will be made to 44 districts including Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Aligarh, Bahraich, Varanasi, Bareilly, Barabanki, Jalaun, Rampur, Kanpur, Azamgarh and Unnao.The relief amount will be sent to the district authorities who will distribute it among far mers online.
