A 31-year-old lift operator was found dead in south Delhi's Saket Court complex on Saturday.

NEW DELHI: A 31-year-old lift operator was found dead in south Delhi's Saket Court complex on Saturday.
Police said at around 9.41am they received a PCR call about the body lying on the seventh floor of the building.
"A team rushed to the spot. During probe we found that one Akash, who works as a sweeper, found the body on the seventh floor (close to the fire exit staircase) of the building," the officer said.
Deputy commissioner of police (south) Benita Mary Jaiker said the body was identified Yogesh Kumar, a native of Aligarh and was working as lift operator.
He lived in the Dakshinpuri area.
"He was working with a private firm in Hauz Khas for the last about four years. This firm is engaged by PWD for supplying manpower for maintenance of the court complex buildings," she added.
Further probe revealed that Kumar was a habitual drinker.
"For last 3-4 days, he was not on duty. Our probe revealed that he never remained punctual on his duty that’s why he was not being deployed as the lift operator and was given the cleaning work by his supervisor," the officer said.
According to police, crime and forensic teams have inspected the spot.
"No foul play is suspected as they have not found any external injury on the body. Deceased's Mother has been informed telepathically," the officer said.
The body has been sent to AIIMS for postmortem and proceedings under section 174 CrPC are being initiated.
