There will be at least another week of disruption in Nottingham after a major sewage collapse.

The collapse took place outside Warhammer World in Lenton Lane, Lenton, on Monday, November 22, with the headquarters forced to close as a result.

The incident meant the road had to be completely closed off - and works are expected to continue for some time.

Nottingham City Council says Severn Trent is working "round the clock" to get the sewer repaired and aims to get this completed by Friday, December 3.

Until then, there will be an emergency road closure on Willow Road and Lenton Lane, as well as two-way signals at Lenton Lane.

Lenton Lane will be closed between 1.30am on Saturday, November 27 to 10am on Sunday, November 28 between Willow Road and the far side of the railway bridge.

It will also be closed from 10am on Sunday until 5am on Monday, November 29 between Willow Road and Clayton Drive.

The council says access will be maintained to the units and the church and that the closure is required to install a temporary pipeline along the footpath.

Nottingham Textile Group, also situated in Willow Road, say they have not been affected.
