$8,800,000.

That’s the amount that an Arizona Lottery player won Wednesday night when their ticket matched the numbers drawn for The Pick.

According to the Arizona Lottery, the ticket was bought on Nov. 24 at a Walmart (14111 N. Prasada Gateway Ave.) in Surprise.

The winning ticket has not yet been claimed and must be claimed within 180 days. The winning numbers are 11, 12, 16, 21, 39 and 44.

The estimated annuity payment is about $293,000 per year for 30 years, according to Sue Kern-Fleischer from the Arizona Lottery. The cash prize option is about $6.47 million.

In the fiscal year 2021, $16.5 million went unclaimed. The Arizona Lottery said one-third of the unclaimed prize money went to the Court Appointed Special Advocates where volunteers appointed by a judge speak on behalf of abused and neglected children in court.

Kern-Fleischer said that $1 million went to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and victim rights fund, and $250,000 went to the Tribal College Dual Enrollment Program. Remaining money was used to fund prizes for new games and drawings.
