JAIPUR: Shivering cold conditions continued for the third consecutive day on Friday when majority of the places witnessed minimum temperatures below the normal notch.
Fatehpur (Sikar) remained coldest in the state with a minimum temperature of 5°C, the Met reports said.
Attributing the aggravated cold wave conditions to the active northerly winds and vanishing of western disturbances and upper air cyclonic circulation, Jaipur Met office stated that cold wave conditions will further aggravate in the state in the next 24 hours.

People in Jaipur got up to the coldest morning of the season so far when a minimum temperature of 9.8°C was recorded. Continued dip in the mercury has affected the footfall of morning walkers at various parks in the city.
Ground frost was witnessed in the farms at Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts.
Jaipur Met office further stated that mercury could further dip in Jaipur to 8°C on Saturday. "This is the month when Jaipur is likely to see minimum temperatures as low as 4°C," said an officer with the Jaipur Met office. However in the absence of fog and mist the air, road and rail traffic from Jaipur was smooth.
Fatehpur was followed by Churu where a minimum temperature of 4.3°C was recorded, Sikar 5, Nagaur 6, Pilani (Jhunjhunu) 6.6, Bhilwara 6.7, Alwar 7.3, Sangaria (Hanumangarh) 7.4, Chittorgarh and Bikaner 8°C each, Vanasthali 8.8, Sriganganagar 9.2, Ajmer 9.4, Jaisalmer 11, Barmer 12 and a minimum of 12.7°C was recorded in Jodhpur.
