Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the “rule of mafia” in the previous SP government rendered Sonbhadra backward despite the district being rich in natural resources.
Addressing a gathering during
BJP’s Jan Vishwas Yatra in Sonbhadra, Yogi said that the district, which has been number one in electricity generation, always lived in darkness.
“Our government changed the condition. The double engine government of BJP will not let the people of the district get discouraged,” he said.
Yogi said that there was always a problem of drinking water in Sonbhadra and surrounding districts. “Now the tap water scheme was being implemented in every house. It is our endeavor to ensure that the scheme reaches village of Sonbhadra by 2022,” he claimed.
The chief minister said that the Jan Vishwas Yatra is being taken out to counter the anarchy spread during the previous governments.
The CM said that the state government will provide Rs 500 to the labourers, porters and street vendors, whether they are registered or not. Likewise, the pension of the differently abled people has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1000.
In a searing attack on the previous governments, Yogi said that the land and mining mafia, mining mafia used to rule”. “The rule of the mafia was not allowed in the BJP government,” he stressed.
‘Rahul not aware of Hindu definition’
UP law minister Brajesh Pathak, who reached Gonda with the Jan Vishwas Yatra, said that Congress leader
Rahul Gandhi does not know the definition of Hindu. “When elections come, they want to become a Hindu by wearing a sacred thread over their coat,” he said.
Pathak also challenged SP chief Akhilesh Yadav to openly seek votes in the name of Muslim league leader and Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Taking a jibe at Congress general secretary
