Min lauds women SHGs in Jhansi
Jhansi: Excise minister Ram Naresh Agnihotri, who is also in-charge of Jhansi district, launched nine projects in the district worth Rs. 787.30 crore at a function held here on Tuesday. He also distributed smartphones and tablets to 350 meritorious students.
He also inaugurated a fair and reviewed 24 stalls of various women self-help groups. While appreciating their work, the minister said women of UP are becoming self-dependent.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the double engine government is leading the state to become number one and a role model for other states in the country.
“The Central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying for the past seven years to eradicate poverty from the country by creating job and work opportunities for all”.
Speaking in the function DM Jhansi, Ravindra Kumar appealed to the students to utilize the smart phones and tablets in a productive manner to gain more and more knowledge.
