Male tiger found dead in Gadchiroli

Male tiger found dead in Gadchiroli
Nagpur: A day after the four-year-old Bhadravati tigress was electrocuted on a farm fence, one more young tiger was found dead in Porla range in Wadsa forest division of Gadchiroli on Wednesday evening.
Gadchiroli conservator of forests (CF) Kishore Mankar said, “All the body parts of the male tiger were intact and it seems to be the case of a territorial fight.
The 3.5-year-old tiger had deep puncture wounds on the left foreleg and as per the veterinarians, the animal must have died due to septic shock as a result of infighting injuries. There were canine marks of another animal on the tiger neck.”
This is the fourth tiger death in the last eight days and the second this year. The tiger carcass was found near Katli village. As it was dark, the post-mortem was conducted on Thursday as per the NTCA protocol.
