The five new Combat Patrol sets coming this year are for the following factions: T'au Empire, Grey Knights, Thousand Sons, Genestealer Cults, and Adeptus Custodes. Each set features enough miniatures for starting players to build and field new army for their respective faction or for more experienced players to add new miniatures to their pre-existing forces. The T'au Empire box comes with 23 miniatures, the Grey Knights box comes with 12 miniatures, the Thousand Sons box comes with 26 miniatures, the Adeptus Custodes box comes with 18 miniatures, and the Genestealer Cults box comes with 32 miniatures.

Games Workshop released a Combat Patrol: Space Marines and Combat Patrol: Necrons last year (see "'Combat Patrol' Sets").
