LUCKNOW: Sitapur district administration got an FIR lodged against 11 booth level officers (BLOs) deployed in Vidhan Sabha assembly constituency 146 in Sitapur.
The FIR was lodged on the directions of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sadar after the 11 BLOs did not complete the assigned election related work despite repeated reminders.
Superintendent of police, Sitapur, RP Singh, said a complaint was filed against the 11 BLOs by Registrar Kanungo Pradyuman.

An FIR has been registered against the 11 BLOs who have been slapped with charges of dereliction of duty related to elections.
In his complaint, Pradyuman said that he had received a report from SDM Sadar that the 11 BLOs were not doing their duties as assigned by the election commission. The BLOs did not respond to the notices served to them, he added.
“We first sent a notice to the supervisors of the respective BLOs who were not following orders of the election commission of doing duties,” said Pradyuman.
The 11 BLOs include primary teachers, computer operators and Asha Bahus working in the district of Sitapur.
