Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi re-releases in Gujarat on Makar Sankranti

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi turned out to be one of the highest-grossing films that released after months of lockdown. The film has been re-released in the theatres in Gujarat today, January 14, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The makers of Sooryavanshi took this step to bring back the audiences to cinemas.

SOORYAVANSHI RE-RELEASES IN GUJARAT ON MAKAR SANKRANTI

As soon as Sooryavanshi was released, the audience thronged the theatres to watch Akshay Kumar on the big screens. In comparison to other releases, Akshay Kumar’s cop drama did great business at the box office. The makers of the film are once again looking to boost footfalls at a time when there are no new releases. Hence, Rohit Shetty’s directorial has been re-released in the theatres in Gujarat today, January 14, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal the same.

SOORYAVANSHI COLLECTED RS 280 CRORE BY THE END OF WEEK 3

When it comes to Sooryavanshi’s box office collection, the film earned Rs 280 crore at the worldwide box office by the end of week three. The same was informed by Manobala Vijayabalan on Twitter. His tweet read, "#Sooryavanshi WW Box Office, Week 1 - 190.06 cr, Week 2 - 66.66 cr, Week 3, Day 1 - 4.31 cr, Day 2 - 5.20 cr, Day 3 - 7.37 cr, Day 4 - 2.19 cr, Day 5 - 2.34 cr, Day 6 - 1.96 cr. Total - 280.09 cr (sic)."

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's Soordyavanashi received mixed reviews from critics, but the audience loved it. Sooryavanshi is the fourth film in Rohit Shetty's cop universe. The movie was originally planned to be released in March 2020.
