Rajdhani Express hits pillar in Gujarat, none hurt

SURAT: Scores of passengers of Delhi-bound Mumbai-Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express had a narrow escape as an "attempt to derail the train" near Atul railway station in Gujarat's Valsad on Friday. The police said some miscreants had placed a cement pole used for fencing on the tracks near the station.
The train hit the cement pole near pillar no. 192/16-18 sometime between 6.47pm and 7.10pm.No passenger was injured in the incident.
Based on a complaint filed by Atul station master Sudhanshu Sharma, police booked some unidentified people on Saturday for attempt to derail the train.
