UP polls 2022: Day after ‘quit’ remark, Gorakhpur MLA Radha Mohan Das Agarwal hails Yogi Adityanath ticket

LUCKNOW/GORAKHPUR: BJP MLA Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, who has been replaced by CM Yogi Adityanath as the BJP candidate for Gorakhpur Urban, on Saturday said he “welcomed” the party’s decision and suggested he was not someone who would show his displeasure by defecting like some have done, report Pankaj Shah and & Arjumand Bano.
A day before he lost out to the CM, Agarwal had said that he wasn’t worried if someone else got the ticket in his place.
“I am willing to quit politics anytime,” said the four-time MLA. On defection for political gain, Agarwal said, “There cannot be a worse act than defecting to another political camp.”
