Rahul Gandhi hits out at BJP's 'hate politics'

    Synopsis

"I too believe that the hate politics of the BJP is very harmful for the country. And this hatred is also responsible for unemployment. Domestic and foreign industries cannot run without peace in society. Will defeat this growing hatred around you everyday with brotherhood. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said the BJP's "politics of hatred" was harming the country and creating unemployment and stressed that domestic and foreign industries cannot run without peace in society.
"I too believe that the hate politics of the BJP is very harmful for the country. And this hatred is also responsible for unemployment. Domestic and foreign industries cannot run without peace in society. Will defeat this growing hatred around you everyday with brotherhood. Are you with me? #NoHate," Gandhi tweeted in Hindi on Sunday.

Gandhi's comment came a day after he claimed that a Twitter poll he had conducted on what was the "biggest shortcoming" of the BJP found most participants stating "atmosphere of hate" among the given options. According to him, of the 347,396 participants in his Twitter poll, 35% voted on the option of "atmosphere of hatred", while 28% stated "unemployment", 19.8% for "inflation" and 17.2% for "tax extortion" among the four options as the BJP's shortcoming. Gandhi's Twitter poll, incidentally, coincided with the latest in a series of controversies over hate speeches, the "Haridwar hate speech" incident, that triggered a political storm, a legal case and the subsequent arrest of an accused.
