Haryana started the week with highest Covid-19 count of 9,204 cases and 12 deaths along with 5,631 recoveries during the day, while the positivity rate also touched a new high of 22.80%.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana started the week with highest Covid-19 count of 9,204 cases and 12 deaths along with 5,631 recoveries during the day, while the positivity rate also touched a new high of 22.80%.
Another 1,28,394 people were vaccinated in the state during the day, while the overall tally reached 8,56,102 cases, 7,91,149 recoveries, 10,116 deaths, and 54,814 active patients.
Of those active cases, 52,610 are in home isolation and the rest in hospital. The highest four deaths were in Karnal district, followed by two each in Gurgaon and Yamunanagar along with one each in Kurukshetra, Fatehabad, Ambala, and Faridabad.
Gurgaon reported the highest new cases (3,448), followed by Faridabad (1,435). Sonipat (799), Panchkula (649), Ambala (401), Karnal (284), Panipat (267), Rohtak (261), Rewari (238), Hisar (198), Kurukshetra (196), Jhajjar (185), Yamuananagar (155), Jind (115), Kaithal (111), and Sirsa (110). The other districts have between 24 and 96 new cases.
