Wall Street Journal’s Anthony Galloway to Lead CBS News’ Streaming Operations

The Wall Street Journal’s Anthony Galloway has been tapped to lead CBS News’ streaming operations. CBS News announced on Tuesday that it had promoted Kaci Sokoloff as a booker, and hired David Reiter from ABC News to produce special events on the network and streaming.

Galloway was recently the chief content officer for editorial video, voice and audio programming at The Wall Street Journal. That position followed a three-year run as the Wall Street Journal’s global head of video and audio.

Galloway previously held senior positions at Condé Nast and Vice Media, following his 15 years at NBC News.

At his new gig, Galloway will oversee the day-to-day programming and production for CBS News’ streaming service. He will report to Galloway on his new role, which he begins February 14.Neeraj Khenlani, president and co-head at CBS News and Stations. So Happy Valentine’s Day to the two of them, we suppose.

Sokoloff will lead a centralized bookings unit encompassing CBS News’ broadcast and streaming platforms. She’ll report to Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews, CBS News’ executive vice president of newsgathering.

Sokoloff held senior editorial positions at “CBS This Morning.”She joined NBC News in 2012 as a reporter.

Reiter will oversee breaking news and major global event coverage, including the upcoming State of the Union, CBS News’ midterm elections and election night, across both traditional linear and digital platforms. He’ll report toKhemlani.

Reiter helped launch ABC News’ streaming channel and served as executive producer and head of programming.

“As we unify our organization, we’re delighted to bring together a team who will accelerate our streaming ambitions,”Khemlani made the statement in a statement to the press on Tuesday. “Anthony, Kaci and David will bolster our coverage of top news events on every platform and help us achieve a vision of a truly multiplatform, global news division.”
