Jamie Dornan Confirms That He Used to Live with Robert Pattinson & Other Famous Superheroes in Early Hollywood Days

Jamie Dornan has had an interesting and distinctive career over the last fifteen years. Many of us were first introduced to him through his Christian Grey character in the Fifty Shades of GreyMovies, but he was also a lead in BBC series The Fall Gillian Anderson and she recently appeared in two critically-acclaimed favorites. Dornan appeared recently on LIVE with Kelly und RyanHe shared with us that he once lived with both of them. The BatmanRobert Pattinson is an actor, but there are a few Marvel heroes and a big screen wizard. In the actor’s words:

Eddie Redmayne and I shared a home together. This was 2008, I think. This was Eddie, Andrew Garfield and Rob Pattinson. Charlie Cox was also there. There were many guys who did pretty well. But we weren’t doing pretty well at that time. It was exhausting to go out to auditions for different roles. Preparing each other and helping each other get the same work we were all trying to get. But it wasn’t really happening for us, and luckily over time it all worked out for us.

It’s incredible, isn’t it? Jamie Dornan remembered a time before Andrew Garfield had Spider-Man. Charlie Cox was Daredevil (and still remains?). Eddie Redmayne was also an Oscar winner. Fantastic Beasts’ Newt Scamander. These guys and Robert Pattinson were British friends back then. They all lived at the same address trying to make it big in Hollywood. Thirteen years later, they are all stars.

Jamie Dornan mentioned it, and one can immediately imagine that these actors auditioned for the same roles often. According to The Fifty Shades of Greyactor would trust the best man to get the job. The actor elaborated on their living conditions:

It was a fun group and we’re all great friends today. [Our refrigerator]Most likely, beer.

Let’s see, they all certainly had their own interesting journeys with a look at their careers. Charlie Cox arguably got the first high-profile role of the roommates when he starred in 2007’s StardustAlongside Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro. Robert Pattinson was a serious star in 2008, when he won the Edward Cullen role. Twilight.

Jamie Dornan was a late bloomer, with many audiences first seeing the actor in ABC’s Once Upon a Time In 2011, before taking on bigger projects a few years later. It’s certainly cool to imagine these five Brit actors all having beers and frozen pizzas before becoming A-list stars.
