Sara Ali Khan dials up THIS director from Indore, sends him photos of delicious food

Sara Ali Khan was recently seen in Atrangi Re with Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. The film had a digital release on Disney+Hotstar and it opened to mixed responses from the critics and audiences alike. Though the film was released on December 24, 2021, Sara continues to be in touch with filmmaker Aanand L Rai. India Today.in has exclusively learnt that the actress shares a great bond with the director.

A source close to Sara Ali Khan said, "Since the release of the film, Sara has been shooting in Indore, and whenever she gets time she calls up Aanand Ji. The two catch up on life, cinema, books, food, and even discuss projects they are working on. Atrangi Re was a very special film for them."

The source further mentioned that while shooting for Atrangi Re, Sara and Aanand would relish the local delicacies of Madurai and Delhi. "They would take early morning sunrise drives to the location, and enjoy Sufi in the evenings. Now too, Sara sends snaps of the delicious food in Indore to Aanand Ji, and they often reminisce about the memories that were made on sets," the source added.

SHOOT FOR UPCOMING FILM

Sara is in Indore for the shoot of her upcoming film with Vicky Kaushal. While the title of the movie is not announced yet, it is known that director Laxman Utekar will be helming the film. Sara and Vicky have joined hands for a film for the first time and it will be interesting for fans to see a fresh pairing on the silver screen.

While in Indore, Sara's co-star Vicky Kaushal also celebrated his first Lohri after marriage with wife Katrina Kaif.
