Six districts record over 100 Covid-19 cases in Telangana
Breaking all previous records of single day highest number of Covid-19 cases during the third wave, Telangana recorded 3,557 new cases on Wednesday, even as six districts recorded over 100 cases. The previous single day highest cases were recorded on Tuesday when 2,983 people had tested positive.

HYDERABAD: Breaking all previous records of single day highest number of Covid-19 cases during the third wave, Telangana recorded 3,557 new cases on Wednesday, even as six districts recorded over 100 cases. The number of active cases stood at 24,253 on Wednesday.Of the new cases, 1,474 were recorded in GHMC, 321 in Medchal Malkajgiri and 275 in Ranga Reddy together accounting for over 92% of the cases. Also three deaths were recorded.
On Wednesday, 1.11 lakh samples were tested. Districts which saw more cases include Nizamabad which saw 58 cases, Karimnagar saw 74 cases, Mancherial 77 cases, Khammam 104 cases, Sanga Reddy 123 cases and Hanamkonda 130 cases on Wednesday. tnn
