Waiting times: 'I always thought the NHS was there for us'

"I always thought the health service was there for us," said John Evans.

"This time it was but only just."

Mr Evans was talking about his treatment for a rapidly spreading skin infection.

He spent four nights on a chair at Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales waiting for a bed.

Cardiff and Vale health board said it was in touch with Mr Evans and "sincerely" apologised.
