During a digital member meeting for the Labor Party and AUF in Tromsø, statements of support to Anders Behring Breivik were shouted and written. The police are now investigating the case.

As the digital member meeting on Tuesday was about to start, oral and written statements of support to the terrorist and mass murderer were made, the newspaper Nordlys writes.

Many young AUF members were among the participants in the meeting, in addition to two people who were directly or indirectly affected by July 22. The incident happened on the same day as Breivik’s parole case started.

“It was an absurd and extremely frightening experience,” deputy leader Olga Goldfain and deputy leader of the party’s municipal council group, Tone Marie Myklevoll, stated.

The police will now investigate the case.

“We are starting an investigation. Then, after the initial investigation, we will assess whether there is a basis for further investigation,” the police told the newspaper.
