Strong friendship, unconditional love and undying faith - the relationship between a mother and her child is always special.

Before the pandemic in January 2020, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan gifted his mother, Mala Tiwari, a MINI Cooper on her birthday - worth nearly Rs 40 lakh.

On Saturday, the actor shared the two-year-old video on YouTube showing his journey - from buying the car to surprising his mother at the Mini showroom. The actor also posted a birthday wish on social media for his 'wallpaper for life', alongside a screenshot of the mother-son duo from his cellphone's homepage.

Aryan often uses terms like 'My Happy Place' and 'My World' for his mother and shares a strong bond with her.

Sharing the five-minute-52-second-long video, the actor wrote, "Ab tak emi chuka raha hu (I am still paying off the monthly instalment for the car). Happy birthday, Maa."

The 31-year-old revealed that he had taken his mother on an international trip once, where high-end luxury cars by Bentley and Rolls Royce were roaming the street. But a green MINI cooper caught her attention. She loved the compact, toy-like size of the vehicle, but shared concerns if people can actually fit in it.

In the video, Aryan said that he wants his mother to see for herself if she can fit in the car.

The video, a part of the Mini Cooper Vlog, was shot on January 16, 2020. The video also showed that the hatchback rear door can handle up to 80 kgs of weight.

The 'Love Aaj Kal' star's mother - who was in awe of the convertible features - said she assumed it would take at least two to three years for him to buy the car. To which, he joked, "have some faith in your son." She said the vehicle made her feel royal.

Fans flocked to the showroom to see the actor and congratulate his mother on the new car.

Soon after the purchase, Aryan took his parents on a joy ride.
